If the tune was written using the handheld tuner, and you don't have it, yes the dealer should be able to reflash your PCM. Simply disconnecting the battery won't do it.

If the tune is on a chip, simply remove the chip. the chip just overrides the factory tune (the programer overwrites it)

P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 1.

Assuming you have actual O2 sensors and not mil eliminators, then resetting the computer to factory will clear the codes. However, if there is an actual problem with the sensor, it may need replacing. Or the aftermarket addon that is causing the condition will need to be removed.

I replaced the sensor already thinking that it would fix the code. The new sensor reads the same as the old one. The heater shows to be working but the flow reads 0 (bank one).

Just a few questions

You have removed the Diablo tune correct?

If so then your PCM has already been returned to stock. If you want to reset it, since the replacement of your O2 sensor, simply disconnect your battery for 30 min. then reconnect it and drive like you normaly would.

If the code returns, you need to find outwhat is causing the lean condition.

the tune has been rremoved. The code was cleared by two separate scanners. I have not unhooked the battery for 30 min. so I will try that. Thanks

I'm not to sure where to go from here. I know about adding tunes and removing them, but not so much about O2 functions. Try this thread while it's still hot Stangnet Thread on O2 sensors

really good info in there.
