You need a 180 Thermostat. The fans still come on more often but that is because they are trying to run the engine cooler to reduce pinging since the timing is being advanced. I contacted diablosport and a local tuner and both recommend a 180 T-Stat for the predator. The ideal ECT with the diablo temp will be 186-192 according to diablo.
The T-Stat change is a easy thing to do BTW.

Correct...

Thermostat and Tune = the complete cooling package

They work together. Thermostat = mechanical Tune = electrical AKA electro mechanical system.

I just could not stand the idea of spraying (N2O) when the ECT was in the 215+ range. The fringe benifit I have realized is reduced detonation threshold. Duh the cooler the engine is the more timing can be added without detonation. FYI I run 87 octane with the factory tune with +10 timing (awsfa-12c plugs, and +7 richer in the tune). No detonation with 99 deg weather...
