anyone use it?? how is it??

is it really worth the $229??
after installing the chip , can you still use the predator or Xcal 2 afterwards, or do you have to pull out the chip first before using the hand help tuner...or how does that work??

comments please

They are redundant, they do the same thing. You cannot use the two together.

I bought a brand new unprogrammed one off eBay for $70 shipped and had my local DiabloSport dealer flash it for me for $50. Saved a lot of money.

I only recommend custom tunes from a good tuner.

I have the diablo predator. I got from Houston Performance, they dyno tuned my car and put the program on the predator. I have been very happy with it. I previously had a diablo sport chip dyno tuned, there is no comparison. There is no chip with the predator, it is just the handheld programmer.

If your car isn't modded much yet go ahead and use the pre-loaded tune that comes with the unit.

Go with the perdator or the Xcal it's worth the extra cash to be able to make changes yourshelf. The perdator comes with a generic performance tune that is ment for stock to midly modified cars. Later if you want to make more serious mods Diablo can make you a cutom tune and email it to you. Not to mention you can monitor real time data stuff, and run diagnostic checks with the predator. The Xcal 2 is suppose to be pretty cool too but I haven't dealt with one.

Check out MD Motorsports http://www.modulardepot.com/
They do a good mail order tune and we even went back and forth a couple of times to get my shift points the way I wanted them (no extra charge). The excalibrater comes with a special cable that will allow you to receive tunes via email and download into the tuning device and ultimately into the car.
I have an older version of the handheld tuner, but the xcalibrater looks pretty good.

You all miss somthing here:

They make great scan tools.
Adjust for gears/rim size, shuts the TC off for good.
Retard the timing so you don't ping on crap gas on a road trip.
Best $350 I spent for my Diablo.

Dang thing paid for itself already and Cobra runs SWEET !!!
