Thats ****ing badass.
I love how your dad makes you sell your car then you get one even more powerful.![]()
Are you putting the black Cobra R's on it?
I'm never happy leaving stuff alone.![]()
what!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! $4500 for all that?Ohhkay:
1996 Cobra
4.6L 32V Engine, forged internals and Teksid block
S-trim blower, 10 lbs
MIT Motorsports Intake
Diablosport Chip
Dyno'd 460 RWHP
Griggs GR-40 Roadrace suspension, front and rear. Torque Arm, coilovers, tubular K member.. the whole $4,500 deal.
I will be adding a Methanol injection kit and dynotuning the car, as well as putting on a set of 4 piston Brembo Cobra R brakes to finish the package off. Roadcourse here I come!
I know it's a Mod motor.. forgive me. It's too good of a deal to pass up.
so a carbed 347 was not daily driveable? what's up with that? you were saying you loved your carb setup.
Nice car! We need more pics though! lol
fair enough. i hope i am not in the process of over-building my car right now.Well here's the deal.. I built that black car for more of a track car than anything, so I deleted heat, A/C, sound deadner etc, and now that it's winter, it takes a couple minutes to get the car warmed up to where it runs normal (non-choked race carb will do that) and I don't have more money to put stuff back on to make it a little more comfortable to drive. I'm know other people have done similar things before.. overbuilding a car, and regretting it. I'll miss that black car like nothing, but I decided I'd better get a good all around car. Not a $16,000 yard ornament.
As far as the Cobra, I paid $9,700. The current owner had to bail out of a loan, and really didn't know a whole lot about the car, so I'm taking over payments. I'll be paying for the car by parting out my 347 car.
