Did a little racing tonight...

Me and my buddies were out hunting for a race tonight. The we had were my GT, an 02 Z28, and an 03 gt. First me and the GT did a 55 to 115 run, oh the gts mods are diablo tune, bassani X pipe and 3.90 gears. As soon as the third honk came up i jumped a car and he SLOWLY pulled me in till we were even at 115 when we shut down. I was pleased with this run not happy but i did about like i thought i would.

Next i see a red convertable eclipse come around me so i chase it into the wal-mart parking lot and i ask the kid if he wants to run. He says he will and off to the "strip" we go. he said he was running 18 lbs of boost and thats all i really knew(figured i was about to get owned). Anyway we take off and i dust him bad. He wants another run same out come i launch out ahead and keep on pullin . The kid took my number so when he gets more mods we can run again, which is a little scary because i know they can be leathal when modded right.

What happened with you and the Z28 ? Or the Z28 and the 03 Gt?

I messed around with a 2001 or so Z28 tonight, cause he was behind me at the drive through and revved at me when I pulled away. So of course I waited for him to get his food....He just drove by and I couldn't see him cause his windows were tinted. So I followed him and lined up at a stop sign. We both kind of hesitated and seemed to wait for eachother and I started in 2nd (cause 1st is useless). I still peeled out and got wide so he might have hit the brakes, but he was like 2 cars behind in no time. After the next stop sign he crept up on me and caught me going lke 30 in 3rd gear.I didn't down shift to second so we stayed even until I got into the boost and shot ahead. At this point I was at my turn and tryed to give him the thumbs up. But again I couldn't see in his windows.

It pissed me off because I heard the slightest bit of detonation both runs and it puffed smoke for a split second.The reason it pissed me off is cause I obviously dropped my fuel pressure too low this morning when I adjusted it.Plus he was behind me with his headlights shining on my tailpipes so it probably looked bad...it was the worst victory ever. Even though the headgaskets are still ok.

Sorry for kinda stealing your thread. I just saw Z28 and had to tell my story too.

haha nice kill man .. sort of lol. Umm the z28 eats me alive is the best way i can descride it he ran a 12.9 @108 so he is a lil out of my ball park right now. The Z28 also slays the 03 gt as soon as the ls1 gets to the middle of 2nd gear its by by GT. Don;t worry about the post steal man always like hearin about a pony getting a peice of an LS1

Cool man . Yeah I know the LS-1's shine up top so I think thats why the guy tried to get me from a roll...little did he know, hehe...I have to admit those things are fast stock and have alot of potential.

I went to meet up with my freinds cammed/very modded 01 camaro ss cause he wanted to ride in my car and he admitted that is was faster then his so he didnt want to race. then another freind was already there with his 03 cobra w/ K&N FIPK and MAC catback. WE raced and i put a car on him by the time i got into second, my 3rd no one was pulling and right when i put it in 4th he passed me pretty quick. i need a tune but im trying to think what i could buy for my car except h/c, maybe a TB will help me a lil?
