i ordered some original flowmaster 40s from partshopper and i just got em. theyre the exact same number as the ones on the site but on the box it says "delta flow muffler" on it. are these really the original 40s because the deltas are another series. right? check it out:

Theres quite a few variations of the 2chamber mufflers. Theres a 40 series, Delta 40, 50 series, and I THINK theres even a series before the 40's (5+ years old).

The delta 40s sound a bit smoother and more refined than the normal ones. Normal 40s have a slight rough grunt in them.

Post up an exhaust video!

damnit. i just compared with flowmasters' website and the model partshopper sent me is in fact the delta flow. thing is i ordered about two weeks ago and i told em not to ship since i was gonna be gone a week on vacation. turns out they still shipped and til right now when i got back home did i see the mistake. lol you could say i barely "received" the mufflers right now, a week after they actually arrived. well, i just emailed them and hopefully they can sort this out.

You can also tell by looking at the mufflers what kind it is - original 2 chambers only have one V-shaped baffle in them (you can see the welds from the outside of the casing) while the delta flows will have like three Vs I believe.
