when i was 20 and had just bought my mustang, i had a DAM moment. i was at an intersection and noticed a cop at the opposite side. i don't drive crazy to begin with, and i was going to be especially careful since i saw the cop. my light turns green and i make a right turn into the right lane on a 2 lane road. the cop's light turns green about 30 seconds later. he comes up behind me at a faster than the speed limit rate. i just ignore him. about 2 miles of him tailgating me goes by before i hit the intersection where i need to go. so we are both sitting in the right turn lane waiting for the light. the light turns green and i go. i glance in my rearview mirror to see the cop sitting behind me not moving because he's looking at his in-car computer. i proceed to make my turn onto another 2 lane highway. i'm now in the right lane with noone near me in either lane. all of a sudden, the cop flies up behind me and is tailgating me again. so i drive another 2 miles before i get into the parking lot of the college. the cop actually follows me into the lot almost all the way to my parking space. i was pissed at this point because it was blatantly obvious that he was following me only because i was a young guy driving a mustang. i was going to say something to him, but after i parked, he just slowly rode past me, then exited the parking lot.
my DAM ticket - i was riding towards a small town infamous for writing tickets. two cars in front of me are going 45mpg in a 55mph. i don't pass them because i know the town is coming up. when i go thru the town, a cop pulls me over saying i'm going 54 in a 35mph zone. that's BS because i wasn't even going 54mph when it was a 55mph zone. he then starts asking me questions about my car, then starts bragging about his 03 Cobra. the only reason he pulled me over was to check out my car! this is the only speeding ticket i've ever had in my 13 years of driving.
my driving a motorcycle experience. when i had only my temp motorcycle liscense, i had a cop pull me over for riding on and interstate highway and he was very rude about it. funny thing is that i was NOT on an interstate highway, i later confirmed it with a state highway patrol officer. turns out the cop has a reputation for harassing bikers for no reason. he intentionally stalked me and pulled me over, just to mess with me.
