hi all, i was just trying to figure out what differences there is between the bullitt and gt other than appearance and brakes/suspension. i know the intake manifold is different, and i was wondering if that was the only difference that gave it more power? is it worth buying and putting on my GT? i am planning a bullitt brake swap already, and i want the manifold too. but my cost through ford was like 850+!! any help would be great!

The bullitt also has less restrictive exhaust package and twin bore 57mm cobra throttle body. Along with these differences of course is a different computer program designed for the better flowing intake. The pully ratios on the bullitt are also underdriven from the factory. Also the cam gears on a bullitt are bolted on, instead of pressed on like that year GTs. This means that you don't have to buy new cam gears if you change cams.

I have also heard that the bullitt motors are port matched,.....but I do not know how true or unique it makes the bullitts.

Even with all this the motors in the bullitts were initially rated at only 265, which was later upped by ford to 275. That is not a lot of HP for the expense of some of the parts listed.

The bullitt intake should allow a GT motor to breath better, but I don't know if its worth 850.00.

Bullit intake is worthless on a NA setup. IMO A bullit is only rated 265 vs the GT's 260. If your looking for more power theres alot better alternatives. Save getting the bullit intake after you get some kinda forced induction or something. I'd buy all the basic boltons first if I were you.
