I used to post on the corral exclusively, but there were a few too many posters with "attitudes" for me and it got old real quick. I used to think that the corral was were it was at for tech, and this was the place for nothing more than posting pics or seeing what headlights looked cool... but that had changed about 3yrs ago when a lot of good people got sick of the antics by some of the others there and made the move over to here. We have a plethora of tech here 2-3yrs ago, but much of it seems to have tappered off... I don't know if that is because a lot of the members here have been around long enough that much of what has been covered has been done so many times that pages of stangnet threads are burnt into their memories or what, but it is a bit different now. I think when more people start turning up the wicks on their cars and we start to see some sick buildups here then it will be a little different. I just feel we are almost in limbo right now... all of the basics have been covered so many times that there isn't much discussion anymore on them, and the more advanced stuff is either too far advanced that no one post it here assuming it can't be discussed, or no one is building something that requires such knowledge.

I agree with Hissin and with Paul. All the basics have been covered soooo many times, that's why the tech section had died out, somewhat. Just give us all a chance to graduate from college and you guys will see the monster projects we'll be building and posting 'advanced' questions all the time. I'm really impressed with Matt, he knows his stuff very well even though he's like 15 or something.

I agree with JT (Hissin) - tech is kind of diluted, but that is because we are part of a family and we throw the 'shots' in where ever we can get them.

With that said, we should let Paul, JT and Grady answer all the tech posts from now on and every question WILL go unanswered. Seriously!

I'm graduating this spring, and I'd say it'll be another year maybe then its gonna be time for big things to happen with my car. I say another year cuz I need to get settled into a job/house, etc first... Although most people who know me may think differently, there are a FEW things more important to me than my car lol.

I love this '94-'95 section....it's just about the only place I really post on SN. However, seeing as I am trying to have a consistent 9 second street car, I find the Corral drag forums to be much better than the drag forum on here. I have found some peeps over there who are experiencing, or have experienced, the same issues I have run into, particularly on the transmission side. So basically I have no knocks on either site.

Man O Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what happened but when I clicked on Joe's quote icon ............

All this music started to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scared the bejeezus outta me!!!!!!!!!!!

That was just soooooo freaky

anyway

Two things I gotta say about what Joe said

1) The tech has been kinda weak lately and I hope peeps on the tech forum feel free to ask all the members questions without feeling they are gonna be made fun of.

I have gotten a bit tired of trying to provide not only answers, but data to go along with them which I have always hoped ...... helped peeps to learn a bit better or more easily.

I believe in the old saying of ...................

giving a man a fish is ...... bs!
teach him to fish and ...... let him get his own dadgum food!

Now a days, I have the gone to the tendency of showing peeps where the info is to keep my frustration at bay

I do struggle a bit with trying to make what I know ...............
make sense on the little screen when you read it

I was always, kind of a goof off in school and a poor student so now I guess I'm paying for ...... not learning all that stuff

2) Both the Tech and Talk forum of :SNSign: is the kind of place that can be found nowhere else on the net

Vary rarely have I got my feathers ruffled by peeps on this site

I have no fear of attack from any of my fellow members even if they think I am wrong.

I have seen many, many times on :SNSign: peeps have replied to various members posts with info that is more factual and somehow or other ........

this kind of thing seems to prevail with the outcome of that happening .......

From either poster ...... there is no

attack
flaming
attitude of superior ... whatever
childish behavior

I could go on and on but I know ya'll get the idea

As a matter of fact, you see peeps going to the extra mile to set things right with each other when one feels they have offended one another.

Peeps who are like that are the kind of peeps I choose to hang around and I salute each and every one of you for your choice in how you choose to act when on our forum

You guys are the best
and
I thank you for all the things you have taught me

I'm done now
