Does anyone have picks of two different rim colors, like black rims in the back and chrome in the front?

I've seen this combo before and it didnt look bad, was different and kind of cool. Thanks for the help if you do find any pics.

I dunno....this reminds me of the old 2 color paint jobs where the front would be one color and the back would be another color and the wheels would be painted to match.

I think i can get by with the gold Weld front runner rims with polished in the back, but i don't know about just black and chrome, how would it not look like mismatched wheels?

Yea, I'm not sure why you'd do that...I think the wheels would have to be geometrically different before you could consider painting them different, like a drag car with spoked wheels in front. A set of mismatched Bullitts would probably look like hell.

Here's an example I dug out of google.

I was thinking the same wheels and not actually painting them. just having the front chrome and the back that polished black with a chrome lip. Its hard to imagine and its hard to even find. Everyone has matching wheels lol... Makes sense but why not try something different? When you go to the track everyone has slicks on the back and stock up front, some of the cars dont look that bad with that set up. Just wanted to see if anyone has pictures of a street car with this set up. Hell if it doesnt work out you can just buy which ever looks best on your car ;p.

I dunno, my bullitt wheels have a slightly differen shade (OEM wheels go figure) on one side and it drive me nuts. I can't imagine purposely putting two different wheels on

No one has pics because no one in their right mind puts different color/mismatched rims on their cars on purpose. I tried to Google your request and got nothing. Fail.

I tried google too, i've seen this set up on some nice cars, one was a 67 stang and it was amazing. I just wanted to see if anyone had pics online and i guess not. Thanks for looking though. And i guess not being in your right mind gets some pretty nice results Being unique is something to be desired these days, everyone running around with the same ideas and doing the same old same old gets kinda boring?

I agree its hard to imagine and it sounds stupid but eh.... Making a Shelby Mustang sounded stupid to Mr. Shelby and now look... One of the best looking cars out there. Let people do stupid things and dont be so harsh, something cool might come out of it

One thing you will learn about hanging out on forums is that there are very few original people, most like to sway with what everyone else is doing, so I see your point here. In saying that I think opinions are good, however, must people can't even give real opinions.

My advise to you is to do what you want and don't ask or post about it until its done. When its done, if it looks good everyone will let you know it and praise you. But if you jump the gun and share your ideas first everyone will jump all over you, because most of them have no originality. If they can't buy it out of an ad or catalog and bolt it on they don't want it.

The key here is execution, if you think it will look good then you have to do the way that you are envisioning it, and do it right, execution is key. Otherwise the same guys jumping all over you will be right.

Now, having said that, I will give you my .02 and you can take it for what it's worth as its only my opinion. In thinking about your idea, I think that most people here are right in that most setups would probably look dumb, but I do think there are a few ways it can be pulled off. I won't share them here becasue I don't want to listen to anyone, but if you work on your idea you should be able to come up with something that works. Hint however, is that you my not be able to use a ford or ford copy cat wheel like everyone runs. You may need to look outside of the overplayed to make it work.

I just found this, but I don't think it goes with your black-and-chrome idea. Its also just a ricey RC car.

While painted wheels could possibly work if you somehow avoided looking very ricey, I still can't conceive how black and chrome would work with any body paint scheme. I invite you to prove me wrong, though.
