Thinking of getting longtubes on my 01 Auto but wanna be able to service the tranny if needbe without having to remove the header(s). Ive read you have to remove the passenger side if you have SLPs. Looks like there isn't too many that have a slip fit like the SLPs do. Anyone have SLP X with different longtubes on thier automatic??

L/T's with an auto trans are a PITA...more of a PITA than a stick trans. The only time you will need to get an auto trans out is if you need a rebuild. To pull the engine from the top, the headers will have to come off also. My suggestion would be to get mid lengths, so you can still get the motor/trans out.

I wanna keep the SLP-X that I have on the car now so Im lookin for headers other than the SLPs(just curious what my options would be)to fit up to it. Not worried about the install or pullin the motor as much. I may drop the trans for modification in the future.
