Different style Foxbody Cowl Grills(Pics and Quality)

I was wondering what kind of cowl Grills people are using and how they look on the car. My cowl when I bought my car had a big ugly fuel pressure gauge poking out of it so I need to replace it.

I was wondering how those different style grills look on the car. I know there are alot of different styles now and I'd like to see how they look on the car. Cowls like the dual opening one, gauge cowls, smooth cowls, etc. Maybe someone has completely filled the cowl just by welding it. I'd like to see some new things to help me decide what to do if I want a factory cowl or something different.

I'm not saying I want a gauge cowl I dont really like them I think they are alittle redneck for my taste. Plus I've heard from a few people that they have gotten their gauges stollen. I'd just like to see some different styles on the foxbodies before I make the chose. I think it will probably be a stock one though.

not really a tech section thread...but the fiberglass cowl I run...

Hey dman,
I had seen those things around but never a real good pic on a car all painted up. That looks good..Thumbs up! I was considering a cowl with the gauge pods too but like mentioned, I hadnt considered getting my gauges jacked. Anyone been able to check out the cowl with the 3 pods that has the 2 5/8 in the center? Supposedly its angled a bit lower so its easier to see. THe pics I have seen so far really dont give a feel of how they are to see while driving. I wonder how they would look painted body color instead of the low gloss black? Wonder how it would look color matched on an ox white stang?

Same as DMan. To me, it only looks good on a car that's got some body modifications. On a stocker, it's way out of place.

I will trade ya my stocker for yours!

Mansonozz I agree it looks good on a modified car with a hood. I'm thinking about getting it now. With a stock fiberglass or just stock hood it would look way out of place. I like it though Dman. Theres some companies on ebay that are selling different style ones that are like Dmans just alittle more square.

I was going to make a template and then get a sheet of aluminum or maybe just thick sheetmetal and make my own with a jigsaw and then smooth it all out and paint it. The part i couldn't get right was for the wipers to come through.
