Dimming lights & guages after new alt, volt reg, relays

I have the dimming / pulsating headlight and guage light problem when the car is idling. I read up on here and added relays to my halogen headlights, upgraded to an electronic voltage regulator, and a 100a alternator... NONE of these helped, still has the problem as bad as before I did anything...

I'm stumped. Anything else I should try?

Car info: 67 with 289 relatively stock except for new alt, pertronix ignitor, and coil. Running Hella driving lights (on relay), halogen headlights (on relays), and a modern CD player.

Help.

check your grounds...the ones from the headlights and the instrument panel (I actually put brand new 10 g grounds to horn mounts when I did my relays). Also the engine block ground. Make sure everything is nice and shiny-metal clean, tight, and of sufficient guage.

I'll second that...

The grounds are the first thing you should check and beef up! These cars are poorly grounded from the get go.
