I got a new center bezel for my car, and I had a not so good home made single DIN switch panel in there. Looking to rewire all that stuff with a new panel. Anyone have any good ideas for a single DIN switch panel. I'd like to keep it less than $100.

I was doing to make one out of sheet metal ill let you know how it goes... i made one a few years back for a probe out of plexi with glow wire behind it. made the switched appear to float which was cool. Ricer... Yes... I was 17
I was offering to make them at cost for people on the probe forums.
Yeah, I got a plastic one in there now. Looking for something that is easy to install and remove without so much fab work. I would just like to add that damn... Painless Wiring is proud of their stuff.

LOL proud as in very expensive? I have kinda the same deal with the plexi. Definitely a pain in the ass if you need to work in that area. I don't believe I have any pics of it though
Just get a blank one of these gauge panels and drill the switch holes where needed. I have one of these but in a 3 gauge configuration and it mounts pretty good with an aluminum bracket on each side that kind of sandwiches the panel between the front bezel and aluminum bracket.
I modified the mount though and use it in the top hvac opening and moved the hvac controls to the bottom opening.
$20 for a black plastic one with no holes or they also have brushed aluminum for $25

Perfect. I was looking all over the web for a blank one like that. You'd be surprised how hard they are too find. I also love the idea of moving the a/c controls to the bottom.

Yeah, on second thought, I think I will put the switches down at the bottom. I only have a volt gauge on that panel.
