Yeah it sounds like a stupid question! lol. I removed the original dipstick years ago during my 5.0 swap while replacing the pan. Because I now have a front sump pan and the dipstick is located in the timing cover, I need to find the old hole. Im not sure if I plugged it, but it doesnt seem to leak while the car is running. Any precise locations? Its a 92 5.0 if it matters. Thanks, Ryan

Driver's side of the block a little more than half way back,RIGHT above the oil pan.

wont leak under normal idle... i had mine pop out because the mounting bolt on top came off... so it just sat there in the hole... sure enough i had oil everywhere under my car... find out that my dip stick tube was loose...
