My dad pick up a 69 fast back with the 289 high po in it. It drove great and then one night he went to start it up and the battery discharges and wont do anything. Then last night Dad replaced the starter solenoid and the when he open the door the batery discharged again and it had the starter constantly on so he unhooked the battery again and now every time he hooks the battery up the starter motor has constat juice.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Can you put up a photo of the fender solenoid so we can see how it is wired?

Bad AutoZoo solenoid, or the push-on wires on the solenoid are backwards. I vote for #2 , I hotwired my project the when I started it and forgot to put the wires back

Yea sounds like those wires are switched. A picture would tell a lot more.

Thancks guys! It was a bad solenoid. It fires up just fine now. But the gauge still shows it discharges when the door opens. Is that normal?
