disconnecting lower intake fuel fitting help...

I cant seem to get the freaking things unhooked.

The tools I have (came in a pack of 6, but I could only find pics of 2) look like the ones at the very top of the page, beside the google icon

Are these what I need to get off the fuel lines along the lower intake??? I have the upper off, and everything disconnected but the fuel lines, I cant seem to figure them out. Any advice on how to properly use these freaking things, or do I have the wrong tools...

Lou, I put it in the other post you were on too about the stuck intake... those tools are one of a variety thatll work but all the ydo is release tension on a spring. After that the lines have to be pulled apart. ANd most of them dont wanna seperate. FInd a good spot to pry from and then push the tool in until it pushes the spring part. Youll feel it. THen, with the tool still inserted, pry the two lines apart. Hope this helps.

Yea what he said, you have to apply some force. Not usually the best thing with fuel lines, but once the clips are off, the tools dont do anything else to help.

Thanks guys, Im hoping to finally get them off tomorrow am. Its been raining most of the day here, and now Im at work... finally getting ready to go home :bannana:
I yanked and yanked on the things yesterday afternoon. I dont have a prybar, any ideas on what else I could use to pry the thing off with. Ive left the distributor on, so that limits how much room I have to play with under the hood. All thats left for me to bolt on the new Cobra upper and lower is those 2 freaking fuel fittings, and the bolts on the lower intake. Everything else is off and waiting.
Just to make sure. Im using a 1/2" tool on one line, and a 5/8" tool on the other. Do these sound right to you guys who have done the swap recently???

It's a two clown operation - one clown to push the little top hat into the coupling and another clown to tug on the line...
