so i hear a lot in the automotive performance world about wheel hop. essentially the tires gripping and releasing very quickly. in the drag racing world its known as tire shake, but its essentially the same thing. caused by insufficient weight transfer for the amount of power being put to the wheels. i know there are a lot more variables but basically thats what it boils down too, excluding tire temperature and compound and what not. im just wondering why its called different things in racing and street applications. in street applications we still call everything the same from engine stuff to chassis stuff.
just thought it might be a good technical discussion...but maybe not
