Disney's Cars

Who is gonna go see it juss because other than Herbie the love bug its the first Disney movie strictly about cars??

I may go...Disney is the best at sticking adult humor in kids movies and I heard this one will have you laughing most of the movie even if your not a kid.

 i didnt know he was in it!

I read that in a review when it came out last week. That alone would get me to go see it even if the story didn't interest me. But it does :nice: I saw him on Leno last night (never watch, but caught a commercial promoting him, so I made an exception) and they showed a clip. Good fit for the part, lol.

Technically its not a Disney movie, it was animated and created by Pixar, Disney is the distributor of the movie... (this was done before Disney bought Pixar earlier this year)

Wasn't cars the last movie that disney had a contract with pixar for? Pixar was started by Jobs over there at apple right? is he still the CEO or nada?

Yes but it was only a contract for distribution. Before Eisner was on his way out, Disney & Pixar had a major disagreement and the contract wasnt going to be renewed. After Cars Pixar was going up as a "free agent" trying to get a new contract with one of the other major studios. Since Eisner stepped down, his replacement pushed hard to fix the disagreement with Pixar and reciently sealed the deal by buying Pixar outright. Pixar's studios will remain where they are at but they are now officially a part of Disney. Jobs and the other high-ups that made Pixar great are still there so no need to worry about quality going down.

do you really mean that?

well, probably not ever, but as a car guy you HAVE to appreciate this movie. the vehicles, shapes, sounds, etc were all accurate...then you figure in all the creativity in the backgrounds, named of things, etc plus the pure entertainment value and story line...its just a really good movie. i purely enjoyed it.
