I work at NAPA and the other day a guy asked me for a contact set for an 88 ford econoline 5.0L and I'm sitting there thinking "I thought a contact was for old ass ignition systems" so the guy explains how the ignition system sets out a high frequency the screws up the radio, so this contact makes sure the frequency doesn't interfere with the radio.
Now my mustang's radio screws up whenever i turn the blower on full blast or any accessory i turn on distorts the music just a little, but enough to piss me off. The radio works fine when i have the car off, and it sounds really good too.....So i tried to look for a contact and i couldnt find one.
Does anyone know anything about this contact? Any help is appreciated.

BTW, there was a contact set available and i did sell it to the customer, so this part does exist.

You might want to find a better ground for your radio. I have a small capasitor that came with the aftermarket harness and have no problems. I used to be big into stereos and found that the causes of that wine were either bad ground, bad wiring, or the need for capasitors.
