I just finished rebuilding a 71' 351C 4V, I'm re-using the originial distributor froma 73' 351C 2V. It should fit right in but just wont become a snug fit, any suggestions??
What do you mean, the distributor won't fit all the way down or it's too loose? Are you sure it's the housing and not the gear teeth or the pump shaft hex that need aligning?
try bumping the starter over a bit while you push down on the dist, and it should drop right in place. the oil pump driveshaft isnt lining up properly.
