Just wondering what aftermarket distributors everybody's running with 351 based motors with the stock 94/95 wiring harness? I got an Accel Billetech, but it's setup to work with the Fox wiring harness. How unfriendly will the computer be if I splice the Fox connector into my harness?

thanks in advance for any info.

just go to any autozone or any other place and order a 351 lightning distributor... It will plug directly into your stock harness... Cost like under 90 bucks or so if i remember right...

then sell yours on ebay or something... I think that would be the best thing to do...

And don't worry about having an aftermarket distributor.. Heck the only difference between an MSD distributor for our car and a stock one is that the shaft is stronger and i think its got better bearings... I haven't heard of many people having problems with this anyway..

Oh and you will have to change the gear on it.. Jesse (Yellow1995Cobra) found that one out for sure... His cam ate the gear off...

thanks guys.

Jesse, how'd you get that 418 to fit under the hood with a box upper? Your setup looks very close to what I'm putting together. Only major differences are I've got a Bennet cam and a Reichard's box upper. Do you have any dyno numbers yet?

If you want an MSD then the pro billit MSD 8451 is made for a 351w and 94/95 and will plug right in. I had to grind down the end a bit because it was bottoming out on the oil pump shaft but other than that it's a direct replacement.

lol, i have no hood.. I still need to find something that will fit, but its legal here to drive with no hood so im in no rush anyways. Search my name and you will see the pics.. the motor/intake is crazy tall.

I will have dyno numbers this coming tuesday morning!

There are no bearings on a stock distributor. I am using one from a truck 5.0. and it is much taller and has a large shaft sleeve to stiffen it up. I looks much better under on the motor. Same plug also. Plug and play.......
