DIY Door Panels Tips, Do's and Dont's

I am looking to freshen up my 86 Vert. The door panels are bent and broken. The partical board is toast along with the vinyl being hard and dirty. Has anyone made their own panels, I mean replacing the particle board and vinyl? If so can you provide some pics and some information, like how to attach the particle board to the metal top and so on. Where did you get the vinly? Is it like factory? If not please let me know where I could get some.

ya, there should be a sticky on this subject, interior vinyl, and show step by step how to do something like this, you could lay somekind of design behind the vinyl and it would shhow through

Found this and it will take car of the panel now just wanting to make something that looks like the stock setup..
