Hey everyone, I got a rearend out of a 72 ranchero gt and wanted to put it in my 67 coupe. Compared to the stocker 8" of 54.25 inside flange to inside flange, this new 9" have a 57.75 length. Also, the drums are massive on the 9 inch with a shoe of what i measured to be over 2 inches wide.

Is there anyway I can get around shortening this rear end to make it work??? Would converting to discs or a smaller drum, or anything else help other than cutting to shorten???

Thanks!
