The combo im putting together should make near 500hp flywheel hp..naturally aspirated 347. Engine shouldnt be spinning over 6500rpms. I was looking at two different crankshafts...hawks racing cast crank or a hawks racing 5140 crank. You think the cast crank would hold up on my non-daily driver?

I would think you would get a warm fuzzy out of the forged, but I honestly would leave it to cast if you don't plan on a nitrous shot or anything else....but you know how it always goes. FASTER FASTER FASTER

Com'on man. If the money is there, there is always faster :D If it's not for all out race, why not a 331 or a CHP 342 ? I have seen many articles on the side load problems of 342.Meaning CHP's kit has an offset wrist pin to accomadate. Or you can just go with a slightly smaller stroke to avoid it.
