do i need a helmet

i was reading the NHRA rules and it says any car 13.99 or quicker requires a helmt.
my car is basicly stock with stock suspension. it is a coupe with a t-5 on street tires. i know it will be my first time at the track and i probbaly wont get my best numbers the first night but does anyone think i can be in the 13's and need a helmet?

you shouldn't need one. with good driving you'll probably go mid 14's.

with my combo i got 13.7 @ 102 mph, which still tells me i can get that time down a little, i would bring one just incase

at e-town they make the imports wear them. you don't see many 13 sec passes on test and tune night.

yea thats teh thing about etown....EVERYONE has to wear a helmet from the 7 second "Ultra-Quick 8" cars, to the 18 second Ford Escape that frequents there....the other thing about etown is that tech inspection is an absolute joke....they dont check **** on the car..not even the harness belts dates which need to be updated every 2 yrs.....
