Do the shock tower braces greatly decrease 'cowl shake'?

Sorry for the basic question, my experience is with 65-68 coupes and Export braces and Monte Carlo bars. I have this 90 convertible and it has a case of the shakes. I have seen 3-point and 4-point braces and need some input from those in the know. This is a fair weather driver, not a race car.
Thanks

I can't say that it will cure the problem..but, it will help. I've got the Steeda strut brace, sub-frame connectors and home made k-frame brace. Very stable at hi-way speeds..

It was one of the first things I did to my vert. I'd say it works, I could tell the difference. Mike

With the cowl brace I noticed when the tires went out of round, the vibration went right into the dash. Cowl shake is more caused because the floor is flexing and you don't have the roof to dampen the vibrations. Note the verts have the extra door pins at the hinge to keep the floor flex from rattling the doors and wearing out the latches...

Get a good set of subframe connectors welded in and you will have a totally different car. From my results on about a dozen vert connector jobs expect the window rattles and dashboard squeaks to all but go away.

Ranchero is correct - cowl shake is a function of the flexibility of the entire unibody. Bracing the towers will do little to stop it. Subframe connectors help - but the real issue is the missing roof. To really deal with cowl shake effectively it will take a well engineered roll bar/cage.
