Do you have sub-frame connectors on your car?

If you run in the 11's or quicker please tell me if you have sub-frame connectors on your car. I know these cars have more joining the front and rear frames, unlike the 79-04. If so let me know what you got. Thanks as always.

Not needed on these cars like the Fox and SN-95's, not until the 10 sec range anyway.

Thanks. At that point do you just have the shop build some? The one's I've seen don't look very tough or they look more like what you'd see on a road coarse car with side bracing.

I would have a chassis shop build a custom set, you're right the ones out there look like road race rail brackets.

Thanks. Hey you deal alot with these cars, whats the best drag suspension set up as far as control arms go? Do the quick cars use panhard bars? I've had some nasty fox bodies, but this is a new creature.

C.H.E. makes the best control arms and chassis bracing parts. They use injection mold process for the bushings and Delrin insert for lubrication.

When I worked at JDM we had multiple customer cars in the low 10s and high 9s and the shop car running 9s brackets and low 9s in exhibition with no SFCs. stock style rear suspension. I've also personally driven multiple S197s on-track (road course) and not felt the need for them. A good set of sway bars and springs does a lot for these cars on-track IMO.

I have through-floors that tie to seat braces, the rocker panels, and Wild Rides lower s-boxes in my 98 Cobra, but that is a significant amount of work.

9's? Well, guess I've got nothing to worry about then. Thanks.

I've seen ripples on the body of S197's from hard launches. Granted these were fast cars, in the 10's, but with a lot of traction it can happen. I wouldn't say to get SFC's, but watch your rear quarters, that's where they'll ripple.
