Those of you with off-road H Pipes (no cats), please share your experiences.

I've got original 40series Flowmasters. Which H Pipe will sound best with these mufflers? Who makes the best? Who makes the worst? Price is a concern.

Whats your recommendations?

I get so many damn compliments on my exhaust, my buddies are amazed on how loud it is with full tail pipes!! I was sitting at a light and an LT1 camaro was behind me and was revving, so I gave it a 6 grand rev and the chick in the expedition next to me said "I think I'm wet"!!! If that gives you any idea

I recomend the Mac o/r h or the Mac prochamber, Ive had both and loved them. I have a few clips of my current exhaust set up on my site. If you want some clips of my packs with prochamber and stock headers then IM me at coman87.

Which one did you like better, the o/r H or the Prochamber? I too am at that fork in the road and ready to purchase one or the other.

I've had both too with the stock muffs. The H had a little deeper tone and was a tad louder than the Prochamber. I like the PC but would recommend the H if you want more sound. Plus it is a little less expensive. Also, some people have had issues with the quality of Mac products. So far I have no complaints but I did get a high temp ceramic spray to coat the H when I had it on. When I removed it 6 or 7 months later it still looked good with no rust. I would recmmend coating it before the install just to have that extra protection.

got a flowtech o/r H. No complaints, sounds awesome with american thunder catback. Got it for $134.95 shipped to the shop where I picked it up. Got the american thunder for $350 shipped to the same shop. It was right around $500 w/taxes. Installed it for nothing and had the feeling that I did my own work. Sounds great. It makes the spare change in my cupholder rattle at around 2k. I would recommend it cuz it's cheap and easy to install 2-3 hrs. Good luck.

P.S. I might be switching over to 1 chambers b/c it's not loud enough for me.

His two midpipes came from me. I orginaly had the o/r H-pipe then I sold it to him when I got the Dr. Gas X-pipe. From there I went to the prochamber, and then to the Bassani o/r X-pipe. Now lets just say he has the prochamber now and I am back with my original MAC o/r H-pipe. The H-pipe still looks like new and it is 3 years old. So my favorite is the o/r H-pipe with the MAC Flowpath exhaust.

Nice. Whats the difference between the H and prochamber? Does anyone know if MAC makes a H-pipe for LTs?

I've got the MAC O/R H with a set of 50 series flows and I LOVE the sound! Its quiet and mellow if you want it to be, and sounds like NASCAR incarnate when you romp on it!

I did have a small fittment issue with the drivers side header seal. I've got an exhaust leak there I'm trying to seal up. I did buy my pipe used, however. A new one wouldn't likely have this probelm, and I'm the only person I've ever heard of having it.

Dam. I was pretty much decided on the Prochamber. Now I think I'll just go with the Mac o/r H.
