I have a car cover that came with my car, and I'm wondering if it is washable in the washing machine. It's starting to get a little dirty around the bottom and I'd like to clean it up.

Has anyone washed theirs? Comments?

Thanks for the tips. I'll also give the dealer a call and see what they say. I'll report back as an FYI.

I actually never washed mine. I never really thought about it. Thanks for the tip!

If you throw in the dryer don't use the fabric softener sheets. They make the fabric oily and it will smear your car. I use cotton towels to dry my car and those fabric softener sheets really used to make a mess of things after we dried the car off. I wash my dust cover twice a year.

I called Coverking, who makes my satin stretch cover, and they said rinse and air dry, no washing machine and no dryer.

I'll just shake it out with the help of my wife and wash it by hand VERY carefully in spring. It is in indoor cover which is a bit dusty from a bit of ceramic tile cutting in Jan.
