Do your 96-98 tail light lenses come off for painting?

I bought some new 96-98 tail lights and when I got them one bezel (the painted part) was broken. The bezel can be removed with 3 screws on the bottom and clips around the top and sides.

Do the factory 96-98 tail lights also have a removeable bezel?

The 94-95 bezel is not removeable which started this whole junk show because mine are fading. I can't imagine anyone wanting to tape these $&%^# things for paint again.

Yes the bezel is removable, just be careful 'cause those clips can be tough.

Not to get extremely picky but does anybody know where I can find a picture of these or a OEM part number?

Mine attach with clips around the sides and top and 3 screws on the bottom. I hope that the Taiwanese copied the Ford tooling. It will make the swap so easy.

They are a PITA to work with and actually can break pretty easily

When I painted mine black since the laser red faded to pink, I just took my time about the process.

They are really easy to break the little clip things off. You have to take your time and if you get frustrated, put em down and come back later. Or you will have loose bezels ...

Does anybody know if this part is available on the aftermarket or from a Ford dealer?

The return shipping will likely cost more than the replacement bezel if its available.

You can find them on Ebay quite often if you look around.

There are some sites that offer them, though for example, 50resto wants around $65 just for the bezel.
