Does anyone here have any pics of broken torque boxes? I am curious to see what they look like when they are broken.

Is that the result of just that car with the mods in your sig? I was always told it only happens to drag cars launching on DRs or slicks...

Stock cars with slicks can blow them out also.

Yes, same car. It does have almost 300,000 miles on it, not hard driving, but not really easy either. Probably 3-4 full throttle blasts a week, and maybe a few good powershifts a month! But I think the times I've downshifted and let out the clutch to slow down and scare the person that pulled out in front of me, with the resulting squealing tires, really contributed to it.

Broken torque box.

Passenger side torque box (where the rear axle upper control arm mounts to the body) is broken in half. How to fix it? reccomendations.

99 GT with the Bullitt suspension. NAturally aspirated. Never any slicks but driven pretty hard.

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

Take it to a reputable chassis shop. If you have to ask how to fix it, you shouldn't be messing w/ it!
Call Denis at DMC Race cars, I belive he's not too far from you
