What rpm is this happening at?
driveline slop?? Yeah that's pretty much common in all mustangs. It's just excessive slop you don't want.
Even my new GT does that sometimes. You just can't jerk on and off the throttle like that
When I am driving mainly in 5th gear but if you are driving and one steady speed where you have to pat the gas on and off the car luggs really hard. It feels like there is a gap between the gear teeth in the tranny or rearend. this may not be it just what it feels like to give you guys an idea. As long as I am accelerating or slowing down it doesnt do it just at one steady speed. Any sugestions?????
Sounds like driveline slop to me. Your U joints are probably completely worn out. Change the u joints and see how it feels then.

When my ujoints went bad the car rode like the tires had flat spots on them from sitting but ONLY when it was cold and went away after I drove awhile.
And by cold I mean only sitting over nite as I live in FL. 4-5 miles of moderate driving and it went away. That should be pretty easy to determine just by turning the driveshaft looking for slop without replacing them. $$
Of course I've been wrong before and wasted money in the wrong place only to have the real thing bite me in the ass late at night in the rain.
