Does anyone wax their wheels?

Just wondering if people do this and if it helps. I don't, but I heard someone mention it. I'm not sure what to htink about that.

I used to.
But it's a LOT of work. Honestly, I just polish those puppies and they look just as good. Wax does help in keeping them protected from stone chips etc...

but i'm not running $5000 rims, so i don't care THAT much.
I'm not that anal.

I have my leather to worry about.

I use armor all on my stock rims..
brake dust / dirt slide right off and easier to clean

I wax my rims about once a month using Mother's liquid wax, only takes a couple minutes to do and makes cleaning them very easy

I wax mine with turtle wax about once every month or two. It helps me clean the brake dust off them a bit easier.

I'll usually give mine a coat once a year or if i'm in the waxxing mood while doing the rest of the car I'll skim over em.....Why not wax em...it cut's road grime easier and makes em less prone to picking chit up to me....
I use Armorall alot to clean mine up....works the balls to me...
Plus if you got close to a grand tied up in rims then why not take car of em?? Brake dust is some terrible chit and eats up the finish if not removed regularly....
Fairly often you see cars with those nicotine Brown, pitted front wheels from the brake dust.... I can't stand seeing that chit myself...
I got like 1800.00 tied up into my wheels and tires...they will be clean....call me anal for sure...

there is a thing called Wheel Sealant, which is a wax made specificly for wheels. It repels brake dust and dirt, and makes cleaning a breeze. Although any good cleaner wax will work the same, and yes, I wax my stock waffle wheels 3-4 times a year with Meg's Gold Class.

I wax my wheels on my daily driver, the 97 TBird. I put chrome Lincoln Mark VIII rims on it, and the wax does seem to help remove sediment, and brake dust more easily. Makes them shinier too, IMO.

I have the polished aluminum wheels with a clearcoat on them, so anytime I break out the orby I will wax them also.

'97 TBird w/ MkVIII wheels - sounds cool! I owned an '83 and traded it in on a '91 - LOVE those birds!!

I use Poorboys World wheel sealant, it designed to hold up to the heat produced by braking. Rims get pretty hot pretty quick it reaches carnuba waxs melting point fairly quick.
