Electrical Does coil bracket need to be gounded?

For my engine swap, 87 BII 5.0l EFI, I located the coil on the passenger side fenderwell, which is plastic.

Do I need to ground the coil/coil bracket?

I think so, after a quick search and looking at my coil I would say yes if you have the tfi distributor.
