i want to get a 75 mm tb to go with my cnl upper intake, but i am partial to frpp. i have a 70 but figure i would go to 75 but don't like the other brands, especially the ones that don't come with a new tps.

i don't think the extra 5mm will matter THAT much for you..now if you were going from the stock 65mm to the 75mm you'd see a diff...but why not save your cash and spend it elsewhere?

i've got 4.10's going in very soon, and i'm running out of elsewhere thats within reason. i figured i'd sell the frpp 70 anyway so i'll spend maybe 125-150. not much i can do with that.

save up for cams maybe? or a supercharger? or some interior stuff?

honestly i'd just start a savings acct and save up for a big mod..don't spend the cash just cause you have it

i have the money for cams, but my car is still under warranty and i'm not ready to start messing with the engine. what i really want is p&p heads with new internals, and new cams, but the problem is the money to install. i can do minor bolt-ons, but i would never mess around with heads or cams. install prices are redicoulas.

i know what you mean..i have 2 years left on my warranty and i am afraid to do anything more serious than bolt ons...but a supercharger is soooo tempting

I'm pretty sure FRPP discontinued all their throttle bodies. Thats the last I heard.

Dyno results show ZERO additional HP by adding a 70mm or 75mm on stock N/A 99+ GT engine, even with bigger pipe, MAF and air filter.

i read that with the cnl intake plenum, the 75mm tb gets 3-5 more hp than the 70mm. thats the only reason i ask about the frpp 75mm

You can buy a new TPS for 25 bucks i heard. And according to the dyno results, a 70mm t/b vs. 75mm t/b makes a big difference with the c&l plenum

thank you wms, i knew it made a difference. i think even 5 or 6 hp is worth 200 bucks. i just like to stick with ford when it comes to the tb. i have several tps's laying around from other tb's so its not a matter of getting one or paying for one, i just don't like the fact that other brands don't come with one and you have to remove one from another tb and put it on the new one.

That is from C&L, but there are plenty regular individuals on here, The Corral, and on ModularDepot that have seen good gains when pairing a 75mm TB and C&L Upper Plenum. And all this data is why I went with that combo myself.
