I test drove a base model V6 Auto (3:31 rear-end) today.

I saw the "phone" button on the dash but when I touched it nothing happened.

Does this work on the base models?
(if not, i'd be pi$$ed to have to stare at it all the time)

I *really* want Bluetooth but I dont want to pony up to the Premium model to get Sync to do it.

Thanks for any clarity in this matter.

i was the same way only not even wanting bluetooth and then i drove a premium model. you get a LOT of good quality stuff for the extra cash. the steering wheel alone changes the feeling of the entire car. i was in the exact same boat until i drove the premium

On my '04, the radio had a "mute/phone symbol" button that just muted the radio so you could take or make a call on your cell.

Just looked in the '11 Owners Manual and it stated if you did not have SYNC pushing the button will just get the display to read "no phone". You would think they would at least give it a function like on the pre-sync cars.
