does rain get into your cowl hood. and is it bad for it. before i had mine painted i went through the car wash and when i got home i lifted up the hood and the water ran out. no i dont go through the car wash now thats its painted. but the car does sit out in the rain most of the time. i rent and dont have a garage.

I have a Mach-1 hood on my '87. Water gets in through the holes for the hood pins on it. It then collects in the lip on the very front underside of the hood and pours out all over the engine when I lift the hood. I normally just wait a few days after washing the car or after a rain to lift the hood. If I do have to lift the hood after a few days of rain I make sure and a have a towel handy to mop up the water.

I get lots of water in the hood, either driving in the rain or at the car wash. Never has hurt anything though.

Hell I don't even have heat in my car. :D

Neither do i, but it stays alot warmer down here than up there in Alachua, i'm from Fort White btw ;) and i visit my Parents up there often.

btw, if you ever need a heater just remove the shifter boot, that whole center console gets nice and warm :nice:
