Hey guys,

I noticed when ripping through the gears from 1st - 2nd - 3rd, that the a/c's blowing hot air by the time I let off, but immediately picks back up....

Is this a feature from Ford that disengages the clutch to provide full power under hard acceleration?

Yes it does

I noticed the same thing shortly after I bought mine, and verified that through a tech at the dealership. I live in Tampa, and my A/C hasn't been off since I got the car in March. I've noticed that if you're running the A/C on MAX, it doesn't kick off. But when the A/C is on normal, it's quite noticeable.

I'm out here in Phoenix (110+ most of the time) and my AC is on max 100% of the time (at least whenever I get on it) except for 5:00AM on my way to work. I'm pretty sure it shuts off on both settings.

But, beeing that its soo HOT here, I notice even the slightest interruption in the A/C.

Hey glad to here this, I was going to have mine in for a warranty check because I thought the A/C stopped working when I got on it. Then it started blowing cold. I thought I had an intermittent problem. This post really helped. Thanks, GG

I'm pretty sure my 2001 Yukon Denali doesnt. Maybe its because of the 6.0.
