Everything from the tranny back in my car is fairly new, but the tranny is loud as he!! sometimes. If i have the car up on stands idling in 5th gear it sounds like the trans is full of rocks, kind of sounds like the u-joints are gone but they are new. Also while coming home from the track after beating on the car a bit this weekend it was making the clunking noise it always does but would also howl some and was transferring more noise up thru the shifter than usual. This morning cold it didn't sound so loud. I don't know
