dohc vs. sohc intake

what is the difference? can i put a sohc intake on a dohc engine? if not what is the difference?

spacing is different due to the DOHC having 2 cams in each head vs the SOHC having one cam in each head.

Since one is wider then the other, couldn't you build adaptor plates ? They make adaptor plates to bolts the 302 intake manifold onto the 351w.





Now that I think about it, the 4V intake would be the wider one right ? So that would not help...

negative, the 4v intake is narrower than the 2v intake. so no it will not work.

you can make adapter plates for anything, but that doesnt mean it will run well.
