My mechanic and i are going to do a few custom/home-made modifications to my car soon. He's a mechanic with ford, so all the modifications should go well. Have a few questions for you guys though...

Mods To Do:
1. Sub-Frame Connectors. I want to put some custom made SFC's on my 98 GT. I can get the steal from my friend at a steal yard, and weld them myself. I need to know the exact dimensions and steal/parts necessary for this mod though. Does anyone have a website that gives specifications and dimensions of the steal and everything needed. I've seen websites selling them of course, but not detailed dimensions. Also, anyone have pictures of the weld points/locations to weld the SFC in place?

2. Stock Throttle Body/Plenum Porting I have some grinders and dremmels, and should be able to do this fairly easily. Just wondering if anyone has done this themselves in the past, anything i should know? Any specific way or direction that i should be porting this? What part exactly should i be widenging, i know if i widen the openings i might need a new TB. So i gues i'll just port the Plenum. Smooth out the insides and what not. Does anyone have any professional advice for this? Think i could port the hole from the intake to the Plenum too? Or would it leak or something. Let me know what you guys think about this. What kind of dremel heads should i use?

3. Cold Air Intake. I wasn't really planning on doing this mod, but since i hear its worthless to buy one, i guess i'l just make one. Anyone ever make their own, what did you use? Did you use the stock MAF or a new one? What did you use for the tubing? Thick rubber hose? or PVC? Any pictures? I know its a lot of questions, but im just curious

4. DYNO. Off topic but, where is the nearest DYNO machine in Northern New Jersey. I live in bergan county and want to DYNO the car sometime soon. La Rocca's in Englishtown the closest one? Just wondering. Thanks for the help/input guys.

Mods To Do:
1. Sub-Frame Connectors. Can't help ya here, but aren't they pretty cheap anyway? For the fitment issues you'll have to work thru it might be easier and cheaper in the long run to just buy some. Here are some on Ebay, a Buy-Now at $48.00. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...ry=42611&item=2480866813&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW)
2. Stock Throttle Body/Plenum Porting Working on this project myself. Don't flatten the bottom too much (or if you do, plan on adding a plenum spacer so you can increase the radius of the turn down into the manifold). Work the sides and top. No special tricks here, but stay away from the TB opening and manifold opening. Wear safety glasses and a dust mask (or you'll be blowing aluminum boogies for days!) I can email ya pics if you wish, but I'm no expert, just messing around with it since it was sitting in a box after my Accufab plenum install. Right now I'm working the outside of it. Tons of elbow grease. Do a seach of this forum for plenum porting - there was a few good posts about porting. Someone had a pretty good drawing of the airflow, with a spacer.
3. Cold Air Intake. The K&N FIPK GEN 2 has impressed a few people around here. As for homemade, ck MustangWorld - here is the link - http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/coldair.htm
4. DYNO I'm down here in FL, sorry can't help ya here either.

That's because most everyone just buys their SFCs from a manufacturer. Because there's just no need for custom jobbies since there are so many premade varieties out there to choose from.
