Doing Gears... is this what i need to get rid of the Howling Rear End?

FRPP makes three levels of kits, each with more stuff. Check them out at www.fordracingparts.com. The bottom line is until someone gets in there and starts working, it is hard to predict which seals and bearings will need replaced. I would get the kit from FRPP that has the most stuff and have it all installed if your car has more than 50k or so. This will replace even the axle seals and bearings :nice: and will be a complete rear end and TrakLok rebuild. There is not much price difference in the three kit levels, the labor charges are what you will have to watch out for.

Where on the site can you find these kits? I went to Merchandise, and then to Driveline/Ring and Pinion Sets and just gears were in there. I searched around and couldnt find where the insall sets are. Can you tell me where I need to look, thanks!

EDIT: Ok I found some kits under Differentials. The only one I found is the 8.8 TRACTION-LOK REBUILD KIT, would this be the one?

Comes with:

Kit includes clutch pack, shims, friction modifier and instruction sheet
Fits all 8.8" Traction-Lok differentials

This one is only like $40, couldnt find any other ones. With the M.Tuning one being almost twice is much, is it a better kit, includes more?

The other one I found just said Carbon Rebuild Kit, but didnt list any components it came with.

This one is just for the trac loc rebuild kit, does NOT include bearings and seals, You might have to dig a little further, It should be around 125 or so for the complete kit, trac loc rebuild kit, and all the bearings and seals....

Thanks just found the 3 kits. They are under Axle Components.

My car has 30k miles, 5-speed, not beat on. What kit would be best to get when I do my 4.10's?

I also noticed the $120 Ford kit doesnt come with the case gasket, but the motive kit does. Ford sells them for around $9, would it be wise to get one of these as well?

that kit is fine. BTW DO NOT USE THE GASKET. i have seen horrible leaks on cars people used gaskets on. all mine get rtv and none have comeback.

It is a silicone that squirts out of a tube, it is the blue stuff in the pic...
