Do you have spring compressors?

Just be careful because it can be dangerous if you aren't paying attention.

I've got some cheapy spring compressors that I'll use as a safe gaurd, I am doing the front the MFE way.

Rears aren't that bad. The front on the other hand can be a PITA.

Installing springs isn't that bad, like mentioned the rear springs are piece of cake , the fronts can be more of a pain but not overly difficult. An extra set of hands really would help a bunch.

My new car friend is coming over tomorrow, he is the beast from the east, probably the biggest built 18 y/o asian guy you'll ever see lol so he'll be of some help.

Its pretty cool, he has an Audi A4 that we are putting a new DV and magnaflow exhaust on. My other friend with a BMW 323ci is also coming over, he just ordered a shark injector chip, he already has a TB, k&N FIPK, and magnaflow cat back. Then we are all going racing....

Use hose clamps the first time. I've told everyone this, finally somebody tried it and he couldn't thank me enough. You would do that same too.... just trying to help you out and make it so easy you won't believe it!

You do have a motorcycle helmet and chest protector don't you? Im only joking, but the fronts do suck. I am never doing them ever again, the safety issues I went through is not worth it, I'll take it to a Ford garage next time. Good luck!

I didnt find springs that big of an issue.. mind you, I did it on a lift and lowered the control arm with a hydraulic tranny jack. Pain in the ass it is though. You'll probably want some air tools if you have a compressor.

Its very safe with the "Correct" Style Spring Compressor.

+1 for correct Compressor, and they don't have to be expensive for occasional use. Mine are from Harbor Freight and work great, and I've had the fronts out three times with them.

Just be careful around compressed springs in general.

Springs are one f the easier mods ive done.. I can do the fronts in aboyt 45 minutes and the rears in about 30. Plan ahead.. I also dont understand what a built asian kid has to do with anything..

I had no problems when i did mine solo.....the fronts were a little tricky but just pay attention to what your doing and you'll be fine.

PS: Make SURE to use a ratchet strap on the fronts. Tie it off to the A arm that you aren't working on and the other side to the A arm u are working on. It'll help when you're installing the new ones- And disconnect the A arm from the back 2 bolts
