Electrical Dome Light Issue - 92 Coupe

My dome and map lights will not work.The headliner was removed by the body shop and now dome lights will not work, the fuse is ok. The dimmer switch will not turn the dome light on. Do you think I may have lost a ground some where? I removed the switch and put in new bulbs. Please advise

I found the problem, the fuse blew when I disconnected the switch. You must disconnect the battery before removing the switch. Replaced fuse# 8
