Dome light wont turn off

Just that, the dome light wont turn off.

I checked all the doors, the trunk, the gas cap, the hood, the alarm.. nothing its still on, I just took the light out for now, but is there a fuse somewere that could cause this problem ??

Door latch/striker plate thing. Try some WD or equivalent on the latch area.

Yeah where the door latches to the car. In another thread, someone was talking about this and I took notice because a friend of mine has an explorer and the dome light stays on. It was suggested that the latch was the culprit. It's the same thing as when you read about batteries draining. I don't know why or how, but I bet that is whats going on with your dome light.

Of course it could be something else .. but try spraying the part where it latches on the door.

Oh, also make sure that your headlight knob isn't turned all the way to the left. Know what I'm sayin?

It was the stupid light switch turnd all the way to the left, i forgot to put it back when I was changing out the bulbs behind my dash ! DA-DA-DA (carlos mencia)

Put your bulb back in ..
