DONT FREAK! New Forums Tomorrow

I plan to upgrade our Forums over to a new system during the day tomorrow.

Coming with these changes is a new entire software suite. I think you will really enjoy the new system, there will be a learning curve and I know that everyone will freakout at first, but trust me when I say you will be so much happier with this new system!

The Forums will be down probably at least 8 hours while we import all the old data to the new.

Some cool things to have:

Much faster style pages, posting, searching
Intense Notification System
PMs are now Conversations and you can pull more in to chat together.
Your own Status update page that users can follow (like twitter)
@mentions in posts to get someones attention...
and much more.

Please don't completely freak out on us... give us time, i will bring the boards back online before we have everything set so just enjoy the bumps while we flush them out.

I really like the upgrade. I noticed all of the old "likes" are gone. I assume that was a casualty of the change over? Also see that you were probably working on it till 1:00 AM, ( some of your last post times) So, thanks for your hard work.

And while I'm at it I was thinking since your're in Alabama, I'd stop by and ck out your shop, say hello sometime in the next couple of weeks before Christmas. I imagine you have some cool stuff there,... (including your BTC coupe). Is it worth the trip?

Sure you could come by, it's always nice to talk to a fellow Mustanger, I am at the shop by myself most of the time. There are toys there and future projects I plan to take on.

You could change your Bookmark to reflect that name if you like.

90lxcoupe, What browser OS and state of PC are you on? I find the site much faster and our server load is WAY lower than when running the old system.

Change is tough when you are here a lot and have a certain way of seeing things, give it a week and you will be glad the old is gone. And this forum software will allow us to grow.
