Cause, to me anyhow, he comes off as very condescendening. I know he is the go to guy for NMRA racers and such, but if I ask a question on SN, I get fellow stangers who just want to help out. If I ask the same question on the other site, I may get some helpful answers, but far more BS telling me how naive and ignorant I am. Just my opinion, but we all know that saying.

yeah...that site is definetly more about "didnt you use the search function". i know it gets old when people keep posting the same question but honestly, we are all experts on those subjects so spend two seconds and give the person a great answer so that the thread doesnt last for 3 days. but i do see what youre saying. he (along with others) can be kind of stuck up about stuff sometimes.

The guy knows his stuff, but he doesn't seem to have the patience needed to be helpful on a message board.

what i like about here is that people are helpful, very rarely do you get the "go search noob" kind of responses

of course there are alot of the same questions asked, but they get answered and the thread just fades away and people move on

i honestly think thats better than a thread where someone says search and someone replies to that, and it keeps going back and forth until people are fighting and the thread is 5 pages with everyone and their momma's opinions being thrown around

I dont like BS either, But the way you present yourself, says alot. You could have the right answer but if your an a$$ about it I would rather take a week to figure it out on my own than deal with them..

I emailed Ed the other day, i know he is a busy guy, and he still sent a very helpful and very nice repsonse in only a day. I can't wait to do business with him, i acutally think i am going to spend a few more bucks through him, just cuz i like dealing with nicer people. i am on both sites and he gets bashed for no reason that i have seen yet. But thats life some like ya, some dont...mostly the jealous type.

He is in business and has every right to get ticked off when someone wants something he sells for free. Some people don't like that fact.

I never bought a thing from him, I did buy a USED set of afr's that he sold though and he was very helpful when I ran into a few snaggs. I plan on getting a cam from him but don;t want to be limited by the stock pistons, but for some reason this engine will not die.
