the other day i posted a thread asking about a problem with my door locks and was told there was a fuseable link next to my starter solenoid but i cant find it, the problem was they just all of a sudden quit working. one day last week they where working fine at lunch then about an hour later i got i my car hit the switch and nothing happened. the passenger side doesn't work either could someon please give me some advice? i have ckecked all fuses and even cleaned the switches to make sure they were getting good connection but stil have nothing. any advice out there?

i think on mine the door locks run off the small silver box attached to the starter solenoid on the fenderwell. that little box is a circuit breaker. i know that the power wires under the seats are attached to this. when i pulled the c.b. off to cut poer to those wires, the door locks didnt work. so check that c.b.

There are no fuse links for the door locks. There is a little tin box on the starter solenoid. It holds the circuit breaker for the power windows and door locks.

You need to use a voltmeter on the connection to the door lock motor to test for voltage. Connect the meter leads to the two sockets instide the connetor shell. You shold see 12 volts across the two wires when you actuate the switch. The switch will apply a different polarity when you change from open to locked. If you use an analog meter, the meter will peg out in the reverse direction on either open or lock.
