door locks messed up

ok so, driver side unlock/lock switch will not work. i press unlock and nothing happens, eccept a whirring noise that keeps getting louder then shuts off. However, my passenger side switch works a little. i will have to tap it 3-4 times to get the door lucks up. I dont think its the actuators because they both go up and down (btw i can lock both doors fine w/ switch) what are some other possibilites?

Mine are like that too, they will work some days then other days they do nothing at all. I see you have a 'vert as well, what I'm thinking is that water has gotten in there over the years from the top window seal, and the contacts inside the switches are corroded or something. I was just gonna replace mine with used ones off a coupe. Dealer wants too much for the switches.

And also, my keyless entry works perfectly, so I know its not the actuators or the relays.

replace your switches. mine are doing the same thing. i took that lil panel that hides all the wiring and the bottom half of the switches off and wiggles the wiring around that came up on it. pink and yellow one i believe is what made mine work but anyway switches are around 30 bucks. my window switches needed replaced thats why i even bothered to see what was going on.

no no the vert is dead, i have a coupe now. is there a way to test the switches and actuators?
